The following terms and conditions apply to the Read Your Way competition run by Ulverscroft.
Glossary
Entrant – a person who enters the Read Your Way competition by completing the entry form set out below.
Entry – a completed submission via the Read Your Way entry form at ulverscroft.com/readyourway.
Campaign – the Read Your Way campaign run by Ulverscroft, encouraging readers to try a large print book and share their experience.
Eligibility
Entrants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
Entrants must be resident in the United Kingdom.
Employees and members of their immediate families (including any live-in partner) of Ulverscroft, the wider Ulverscroft Group, the Ulverscroft Foundation, or any participating libraries or library authorities are ineligible to enter. Any such entries are invalid.
Entry
To enter, complete the Read Your Way submission form at ulverscroft.com/readyourway.
Only entries received on and after the opening date (1 June 2026) and on and before the closing date (30 June 2026) will be counted. Any entries received before the competition opens or after the closing date will not be counted.
Only one entry per person will be counted. Duplicate entries will be removed.
By entering, entrants confirm that any content submitted is their own and that they have the right to share it.
Prize
One winner will receive a free large print book every month for twelve months, totalling twelve large print books in total.
Titles will be selected by Ulverscroft and dispatched directly to the winner. Specific titles cannot be requested by the winner and no substitutions will be made.
The prize is non-transferable. There is no cash alternative.
The first book will be dispatched within 28 days of the winner being confirmed. Subsequent books will be dispatched monthly thereafter for a period of twelve months.
Ulverscroft reserves the right to substitute a title of equivalent value if a selected title becomes unavailable.
Winner Selection
The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries received by the 30th June 2026.
The draw will take place within 14 days of the closing date.
The winner will be contacted via the email address provided on the submission form within 14 days of the draw. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of being contacted, Ulverscroft reserves the right to redraw and select an alternative winner.
The winner's first name and county (e.g. "Sarah from Leicestershire") may be announced on Ulverscroft's social media channels and website. Full names and addresses will not be published.
Data
Personal data collected through the submission form (name, email address, postal address for prize dispatch) will be held by Ulverscroft solely for the purposes of administering the competition and dispatching the prize. Data will not be shared with third parties and will be deleted within 12 months of the competition closing, in line with Ulverscroft's privacy policy.
By entering, entrants agree to Ulverscroft using their submitted content (responses, quotes, photographs uploaded via the form) in future campaign materials and on Ulverscroft's owned channels. Entrants will be credited where possible.
General
Ulverscroft reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, or to cancel or modify the competition, at any time if circumstances beyond its reasonable control require.
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
